Hi, my name is Tamie
and I am a Certified Pilates
Personal Training in South Tampa, FL
and the surrounding areas.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sports
Medicine/Athletic Training with a
specialty in Rehabilitation.
I have worked in the Heath and
Fitness Industry for over 15 years.
My background lends me the
experience of working with a variety
of clients from athletes to
rehabilitation patients. I have
worked in the school system as the
Head Trainer for a High School, as
an Assistant Trainer for a Community
College, and in an Out-Patient
Hospital Rehabilitation Center.
Pilates is a method
of exercise and physical movement
designed to stretch and strengthen
the body. Pilates aims at improving
the deep muscles of the core to
improve their ability to provide
spinal stability. My focus during
each training session will include
Alignment, Balance, Flexibility,
Control and most importantly the
Core. I will instruct each
individual how to use the abdominals
to control movement, protect the
spine and stabilize the Body.
Each session will focus training on
one of the following pieces of
equipment: Pilates Reformer, Pilates
Chair, Spine Corrector, Core Body
Roller and Glide Board. My goal for
each individual is to bring an
awareness to the Body, provide a
healthy, active range of motion and
to strengthen and balance the Body.
