Personal Trainer Bio/ Background.

My name is Barbara and I'm a Certified Personal Trainer in Highlands, NJ for your home or office in Monmouth County New Jersey.  As a lifelong athlete, multiple marathoner and Certified Personal Trainer for over 15 years, I have developed highly-effective programs across a diversity of goals and objectives for clients ranging in age from 13 to 80.
 
Since 2001, as an Independent Personal Trainer and Fitness Studio Owner, I have served a stable base of long-term clients in New York City.  Their requirements have included cardiovascular exercises; weight-training/weight-reduction; aerobic endurance;  pre-natal/post-natal exercise; Pilates mat work; rehabilitative therapies; running, tennis, golf and various other outdoor and functional activities and needs.
 
I combine my skills in anatomy, physiology, bio-mechanics, nutrition and kinesiology to develop individualized programs based on a carefully-planned series of realistic, motivating goals to help my clients realize and maintain their fitness and lifestyle objectives.
 
Prior to 2001, I was employed as a Senior Trainer by two of Manhattan's leading Fitness Clubs, where I conducted personal fitness evaluations (including body composition, nutritional surveys and flexibility testing) utilizing the widest and most-current variety of technologies and equipment.
 
Consistent application of challenging, yet sensitive, training methods, based on principles of balance, moderation and persistence that considers the "whole person", are the hallmarks of my approach to assuring that my clients both feel and see the results of our efforts together.
